Hi! How are you?
I’m Brittany! Here’s a bit of an overshare about me. (You’ll find that I do this a lot. No such thing as TMI in my world!)
I was born and raised in the Houston area. I left briefly to pursue a bachelor's in Psychology at Texas State and realized after a small internship at a state hospital that maybe being a psychologist was a little intense for me. Little did I know that my experiences with psychology would guide my career so heavily!
My kiddos (Alexis -10 and Jonah - 1) are my world. Lexi was my original muse. She reminds me of how beautiful life can be on a daily basis. She's growing up SO quickly and I'm sure she's tired of having my camera pointed at her face.
My husband Josh and I were married in November of 2017. We met in college and have been best friends since the very beginning. Some of my older clients will remember a time when he was my primary second shooter! I miss those days. He is now a recruiter for Harris County Sheriff’s Dept.
Photography is everything I've ever wanted my career to be: fast paced, people oriented, and utterly fulfilling. I get to witness and document my clients most special and intimate moments and nothing could make me happier than that!
Random funsies:
We LOVE food. Lets go eat. SERIOUSLY. Mexican, sushi, thai, burgers, ice cream. Food is my favorite part of the day, every day.
Our favorite TV shows: The Last of Us, Parenthood, Gilmore Girls, Atlanta, Top Chef, American Horror Story.
These days I tend to binge podcasts while I edit. Favorites include Armchair Expert, Smartless, and Conan Needs a Friend.
With regards to motherhood, I'm very “crunchy”. I'll talk to you all day about breastfeeding or natural birth!
Feminism, racial equality, and inclusion is VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.
In addition to our kiddos, we have 3 fur babies. A 12 year old chocolate lab, Whiskey, a 6 old silver lab, Zen & Josh's grumpy cat, Luna.
Mental health (and health in general) is still of the upmost importance to me.
People are my favorite! I love meeting new people and watching the beautiful ways in which families interact. It’s by far one of my biggest privileges in life.
Feel free to contact me with questions or inquiries by email, phone, or text! I also have an contact page where you can email me directly.
